Our mission is to promote the Farriery trade in Queensland and to uphold the standards of hoof care for all equines. Our members are committed to continuing professional development through clinics and competitions. Farriery is an ancient craft that has a set of skills that have remained largely unchanged for centuries. Modern technology has improved the products that are now available and this has greatly expanded the ways that farriers can help equines with hoof related problems.

​All farriers are horse lovers at heart, most get into it from riding at a young age. Even if your farrier doesn't ride or even own a horse now, he or she more than likely did at some point. This makes our trade unique, it is more of a passion than a job. We feel that if you select your farrier from the list of our members then you are certain to not be comparing apples with oranges.

We encourage all horse owners to seek out qualified farriers who are proactive in their continuing education. This will ensure your horse receives the best possible hoof care. Our members form a large network of like minded professionals who can refer you another farrier should you need a specialist for a particular hoof related issue.
