Event 1:
Specimen: Make a Plain Stamp Front Shoe out of 18 1⁄2 inches of 1 1⁄4” x 1⁄2” flat bar stock.
Toe clipped, punched for 6 x E10 nails as per specimen.
Width: 8 3⁄4 inches
Length to outside heel: 8 1⁄4 inches
Shoe one foot with a 3⁄4 Fullered Toe Clipped Shoe using flat bar stock and nails to suit.
RASPING ALLOWED.
Time: 70 minutes.
Event 2:
Specimen: Make a 3⁄4 Fullered Hind Shoe from two 9-inch pieces of 1 1⁄4” x 1⁄2” flat bar
stock welded. Toe clipped, punched for 6 x E10 nails as per specimen.
Width: 8 inches.
Length to outside heel: 8 1⁄2 inches.
Shoe one foot with a 3⁄4 Fullered Toe Clipped Shoe using flat bar stock and nails to suit.
RASPING ALLOWED.
Time: 70 mins
Points Breakdown:
o 20 pts Blacksmith Component
o 20 pts Specimen Component
o 40 pts Shoeing Component
Sunday, 3rd May
Event 3:
Specimen: Make a Double Calkin Shoe out of 19 inches of 1 1⁄4” x 1⁄2” flat bar stock. Toe
clipped, punched for 6 x E10 nails as per specimen.
Width: 7 3⁄4 inches
Length to outside heel: 8 1⁄4 inches
Shoe one foot with a 3⁄4 Fullered Toe Clipped Shoe using flat bar stock and nails to suit.
RASPING ALLOWED.
Time: 80 minutes.
Event 4:
Specimen: Make a shoe using 1 1⁄4” x 1⁄2” flat bar stock to match the Judges’ Specimen.
Shoe one foot with a 3⁄4 Fullered Toe Clipped Shoe using flat bar stock and nails to suit.
RASPING ALLOWED.
Time: 70 minutes.
Blacksmithing Component: Make a pair of Shoe Pullers from 18 inches of 1 1⁄4” x 3/8”. Overall
length 15 1⁄2 inches with 3 inches between the jaws as per specimen. Shoe Pullers will need to be
made during the 4 classes and will be judged after the last event concludes.

SUPPLY OWN RIVET). RASPING ALLOWED.

This event will be capped at 12 teams to compete only.

The competition will be run over two days and is for three-man teams.

Teams can be made up of individuals from any State or Country.

Trophies for 1st to 3rd place. Prizemoney 1st to 5th place (depending on entries)

Draw will be emailed out one week prior to commencement of event.

QLD competitors must be P.F.B.A.Q members to compete.

Interstate competitors must complete AON indemnity form and pay $20 weekend membership fee which includes insurance prior to the event. The insurance provided to you is Public Liability Insurance only – not Personal Accident Insurance.
